Meghan Halle

Professional Achievements

HolopeterMeghan studied voice with Christina and piano with Howard  starting around '98 and '99.  Looking back at old programs ,on one student recital she performed a Diabelli duet with Howard, On My Own from Les Miserables in her Broadway voice and Summertime by Gershwin as an operatic aria.  An extraordinary talent at age twelve it's gratifying to us to see that she found her own mode of expression both as a singer and pianist.  We remember her as quite an athlete at age 14 when she  courageously sent the New York Mets her audition tape of the National Anthem. She performed it at Shea Stadium three times before major league crowds.  To this day Christina uses this very challenging solo with many of her students who, if they were to do it in a sports arena must be able to deliver it unaccompanied, capture the attention of a large audience and stay on pitch in a song that covers a very wide range and is extremely familiar.  Check out Meghan for her original songwriting in myspace and cdbaby.
